Library is an essential pre-requisite for successful implementation of educational program and it is also a direct incentive to the development of educational, social and cultural activities. The Central Library plays a vital role in the academic and health care related activities of an institution.
The college has a spacious and good ventilated ‘Central Library’ housed in the Ground floor. With a floor area of 2918 sq.meters, the library can accommodate more than 300 users at a time. The college Library has a mighty collection with latest editions of 11,291 text and reference books, which supports the teaching and research programs of the institute. In addition to this more than 100 journals, bound volumes and WHO publications pertaining to all branches of Medical fields. A huge collection of CD/DVD-ROM is also available.
The Library has a separate, well spacious & furnished reference / textbook section, Journal section, Intern’s, PG / Staff reading section and a section for own books reading.
It has maintained separate good computer section.All the computers are connected to the internet facility through this Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences database ‘HELINET’, (more than 500 online full text e-resources) can be accessed along with an additional links to useful free online resources such as, e-journals, e-books, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Interactive health tutorials, etc.
In addition to the above, the value added services such as document scanning, photocopying,audio-visual facility, access to e-resources through digital library.
The library is kept open on all working days from 9.00 A.M to 11.00 P.M. During examination period, the timings are extended.
