CDE PROGRAM ON BIO-ETHICS

A continuing Dental Education program (CDE) was organized and conducted by Dept. of Public Health Dentistry on February 23rd, 2017. The CDE focused on, Enhancing Healthcare and Research through Bio-ethics. The program witnessed active participation from faculties and interns from Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Srinivas Institute of Medical Science and other neighboring dental and medical institutes of Mangalore. The program was well supported and presided by our beloved Dean Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Varma.

The distinguished speakers on the occasion were Dr. Ravi Vaswani (Faculty, Center for Ethics, Yenepoya University) and Dr. Princy Palatty, [Head, South India unit of UNESCO chair in Bioethics (Haifa), Fr Mullers Medical College] who highlighted the importance of bio-ethics on clinical practice, research and academics. About 130 participants registered for the CDE program. A total of 6 CDE points was awarded by Karnataka State Dental Council.
