Nursing is a noble profession in the health care setting which has a focus on providing care to the individuals, families, and communities in order to attain and maintain optimal level of health. A Shama Rao Nursing school, a unit of Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mangalore was established in 2003 with the objective of training the nurses to function in various health care settings. The institution provides service to all people irrespective of their religion, caste or community.
ABOUT PRINCIPAL
The Principal of the college is Mrs. Florine Clara Fernandes M.Sc. (N), completed her P.B.B.Sc.(N) from Father Muller College of nursing Kankanady, M.Sc.(N) from St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mulki, Mangalore, affiliated to RGUHS. She gained additional qualification M.Sc. Psychotherapy & counselling from Manasa Educational Foundation for Mental Health Shivamogga affiliated to Kuvempu University. She is an examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has organised and attended various conferences as well as presented papers.
