A. Shama Rao Nursing School established in the year 2003, is a dynamic center for Nursing education and excellence under the banner of “Srinivas Group of Colleges” in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college is located in the Valachil Campus of the Group and offers Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery programme run by A. Shama Rao Nursing School is Affiliated to Karnataka State Nursing Examination Board, Karnataka State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. The college has clinical tie-up with Srinivas Hospital Mukka for clinical experience.

MRS. FLORINE CLARA FERNANDES, Principal

The Principal of the college is Mrs. Florine Clara Fernandes M.Sc. (N), completed her P.B.B.Sc.(N) from Father Muller College of nursing Kankanady, M.Sc.(N) from St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mulki, Mangalore, affiliated to RGUHS. She gained additional qualification M.Sc. Psychotherapy & counselling from Manasa Educational Foundation for Mental Health Shivamogga affiliated to Kuvempu University. She is an examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has organised and attended various conferences as well as presented papers.

PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

A Shama Rao Nursing school is associated with Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences Valachil, Mangalore commenced in 2003 with the objective of obtaining adequate clinical nurses. Separate teaching staff is maintained for GNM training. At present Srinivas Group of Institutions is providing 100% free training to candidates of GNM course without receiving any grant. The act of charity is a goodwill of our beloved chairman in uplifting the poor and the down trodden.
