Report On World Pharmacist Day

Srinivas College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Local branch, Mangalore organized a function to mark “WORLD PHARMACISTS DAY” in Valachil Campus on 25.09.2018. Dr. Udaykumar, Medical Superintendent, Fr. Mullers Hospital, Kankanady, Mangalore inaugurated the Programme by lighting the lamp and called upon the pharmacists to face the world with open mind and further observed medical and para medical personnel are sole responsible for total care of patients. He highlighted the role of pharmacists, who shoulder great responsibility in healthcare system.

Guest of honour, Shri Dhananjay H, Drugs Inspector, Mangalore exhorted the students to attract the attention of the world towards the pharmacists who play significant role in healthcare system and also said there is a need to respect and recognise work of pharmacists

Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal & Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, President, IPA, local branch, Mangalore in his presidential remarks called upon the budding Pharmacists to uphold the ethics and importance of this noble profession in healthcare system.

Shri Ramanand Achar, Senior Pharmacist was felicitated for his service in community Pharmacy, Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal, SCP, Mr. Shripathi D, Asst. Professor, Mr. Ankith, Research Scholar and Mr. Abhith were felicitated recognising their professional achievements.

Dr. E.V.S Subrahmanyam, Vice President, IPA local branch Mangalore welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. Ms. Agnes Jain Rose, Ms. Jewel Janice & Ms. Architha Aithal anchored the programme. Mr. Viresh K Chandur, Asst. Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy proposed vote of thanks.
