REPORT ON TWO DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND BIOSTATISTICS”
“It is time to turn from Education to Innovation, it is possible with inter disciplinary research ” Dr. Arun Mohan Isloor Professor & Head, Dept. of Chemistry, NITK, Surathkal, Mangalore addressed the delegates in the inaugural function and lighted the lamp at the National Seminar on Research Methodology and Biostatistics organised by Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangalore in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D.K District Local Branch, Mangalore on 12th November 2019 and a gave a talk on “Research Publication skills”.
Dr. A.R.Shabaraya Principal and Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, IPA, D.K. District Local Branch in his presidential remarks called upon the young researchers to develop three Cs like competency, commitment and communication to face the challenges in research.
12.11.2019: Dr. Ashok Shenoy, Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore exhorted the young researchers to give more stress on research in the field of patient care and gave a talk on “Ethics in Medical Research”. Dr. Praveen BM, Professor, Chief coordinator, Research and Innovation Council of Srinivas University, Mangalore gave a talk on “Research grants and their execution”.
13.11.2019: Mr. Shashidhar Kotian, Professor, Research, Srinivas University, Mukka, Mangalore gave a talk on Applications of Biostatistics in Research and Software Applications in Biostatistics.
Dr. E.V.S Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Vice President, IPA, D.K. District Local Branch, welcomed and introduced the guests.
Ms. Rash Haleema & Ms. Rshmitha anchored the programme. Mr. Dr. Krishnananda Kamath K, Associate Professor proposed vote of thanks. 200 delegates from Pharmacy colleges of Karnataka and Kerala attended the programme.
