REPORT ON NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK -2016

Adopt good habits and discharge the responsibilities in achieving the goal with all confidence knowledge and ethics in your profession and be cautious of illicit use of drugs by Mr. L.A Manjunath, Deputy Commissioner of Excise, D.K. District, Mangalore said while addressing the inaugural function of National Pharmacy Week 2016 organised by Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada District Local Branch, Mangalore in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangalore at Valachil Campus on 29th November 2016.

On this occasion chief guest released college magazine “PHARMA SHREE” and Inaugurated Student council 2016-17 followed by oath taking ceremony by council members.

Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy in his presidential remarks exhorted the budding Pharmacists to uphold the theme for healthy India by creating awareness in prevention and management of diabetes and further advised them “Not to let the failures overtake your ambition keep your determination strong enough to succeed”.

Guest of honour, Smt. Seema Suares, Inspector of Excise D.K. District, Mangalore gave a talk on awareness of drug addiction & drug abuse.

Dr. E.V.S. Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of celebrating the National Pharmacy week every year to bring awareness in society about the prevention and management of diabetes.

Ms. Savitha & Ms. Nikitha anchored the program, Mr. Viresh K. Chandur, coordinator, proposed vote of thanks.
