Report On National Conference On “innovative Practices In Clinical Training & Patient Safety
Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D.K District Local Branch, Mangalore in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy has orgnaised two day National conference with theme “Innovative Practices in Clinical Training & Patient Safety” on 22nd and 23rd February 2019.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Sachidanand Rai, President, Indian Medical Association, Mangalore on 22nd February 2019. He advised the delegates to develop confidence in the knowledge of research acquired by them, to be used for the development of society at large.
Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, IPA, Mangalore has exhorted the participants to make use of the knowledge and information gained from this type of conference and utilize them in furthering the research in the investigation of new areas.
Dr. EVS Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Vice president, IPA, Mangalore welcomed the participants and introduced the guests.

Rendeep Rajendran, Health and safety specialist, Pharmacovigilance cell, Accenture operations, Chennai, Dr. Jagadish Kamath, Principal, Sridevi College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, Dr. Mohammed Gulzar Ahmed, Principal, Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre, Mangalore, Dr. Saleemulla Khan, Principal, P.A College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, Dr. Vishnu Sharma, Professor & HOD, Department of Respiratory Medicine, A. J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Mangalore, Dr. Vrinda Bhat Kamath, Professor & Head, Department of Forensic Medicine, Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Mukka, Surathkal and Dr. Anitha Sequeira, Asso. Professor, Department of Medicine, Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences, Mukka, Mangalore were present.
This conference had oral and poster scientific sessions. More than 180 original scientific papers were presented in the poster scientific session. Apart from this, conference also conducted quiz and collage competitions on topics of professional interest. More than 250 delegates had participated in the conference. Dr. Padmavathi P Prabhu, Professor, Ms. Ashwini and Abid Al Rahiman Ismail conducted the proceedings.
