REPORT ON WORLD PHARMACIST DAY NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK 2022

Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangalore in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada District Local Branch, Mangalore Celebrated World Pharmacist Day with theme �Pharmacy United in Action for a Healthier World� & National Pharmacy Week- 2022, with theme �Pharmacist: Frontline Health Professionals� at Valachil Campus from 26.09.2022 to 30.09.2022.On 26.09.2022, Mr. Pramod Hegde, Founder & Managing Director, Medorganics India Pvt. Ltd., Baikampady, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and called upon the student pharmacists to grab the opportunities in pharmaceutical and other sectors and bring name and fame to your profession to serve the society actively in health care sector. Chief guest, Shri T.P.Sujith, Deputy Drugs Controller, Mangalore addressed the students regarding contribution of pharmacists in heath care sector.Dr. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor, Srinivas University & President, A.Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore in his presidential remarks remembered the service rendered by pharmacist during Covid and blessed all young pharmacist to serve actively.Guests of Honour, Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangalore. Prof. Er. Smt. A. Mitra S. Rao, Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University & Secretary, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore, Sri. B N Babu, Assistant Drugs Controllers, Mangalore discussed about role of Pharmacist and Sri. Udaykishore P Assistant Drugs Controllers, Mangalore gave awareness to the students about uncountable departments that one can serve. Sri Gurucharan Rao, Secretary, South Canara District Chemist and Druggist Association, Mangalore , Sri Panduranga Rao, Kadri Medicals and Sri Ashok Rao, Rao and Rao Associates were present during the programme.Sri. B. Mohandas Gowda, Senior Pharmacist, Shiva Ganesh Medicals, Kokkada was felicitated in recognition of his services in community pharmacy.Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Programme convener of National Pharmacy Week 2022, President, IPA, Mangalore and Principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangalore readout the citation of Sri. B. Mohandas Gowda.Dr. E. V. S Subrahmanyam, Professor & Vice President, IPA, Mangalore highlighted about the Pharmacy Week Celebration and welcomed the guests. Ms. Sulalath & Mr. Mohammad Bilal anchored the programme. Mr. Viresh K Chandur proposed vote of thanks.
