NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK -2017 AT SRINIVAS COLLEGE OF PHARMACY

Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada District, Local Branch, Mangalore in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, observed National Pharmacy Week 2017(06.12.2017- 09.12.2017). Sri. Shankar Naik, Asst. Drugs Controller, Mangalore was the chief guest of the inaugural function on 06.12.2017. He has advised the Pharmacy students to develop good habits and discharge their responsibilities to achieve their goals. He has further stressed the importance of practicing professional ethics and cautioned them against the use of banned, harmful drugs. On this occasion Srinivas College of Pharmacy bulletin was released.

Shri. P. Panduranga Rao, Elected Executive committee, Member, Karnataka, state Chemist & Druggist Association, Bangalore was felicitated for his services as community pharmacist. While speaking on this occasion, Mr. Rao called upon the pharmacy students to develop sound knowledge in pharmacy with a special attention to patients needs.

Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy & President, IPA, Local Branch, Mangalore in his presidential remarks exhorted the young Pharmacists to uphold the theme for healthy India by actively participating in health awareness programmes. On this occasion Mr. Shreyas K.N, II M.Pharm was felicitated for his achievements in R.G.U.H.S Athletic championships.

Dr. Sandeep Bekal, Professor & Vice Principal, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangalore who was invited as guest of honour gave a talk on “Non Pharmacological Management of diseases”. Dr. Satish S, Asst. Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy Coordinated the events of the programme.

Dr. E.V.S. Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy & Vice President IPA welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of observing the National Pharmacy week every year to bring awareness of pharmacy profession to the society. Ms. Agnes Jain Rose & Ms. Minnu Sara anchored the program, Mr. Viresh K. Chandur, coordinator, proposed vote of thanks.
