REPORT ON THREE DAYS NATIONAL SEMINAR ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND BIOSTATISTICS

It is time to turn from Education to Innovation, it is possible with inter disciplinary research � Dr. Ravi Rao S, Principal, Karnataka Ayurvedic Medical College, Mangalore. addressed the delegates in the inaugural function and lighted the lamp at the National Seminar on Research Methodology and Biostatistics organised by Srinivas College of Pharmacy Mangalore in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D.K District Local Branch, Mangalore on 13th October 2022 and gave a talk on �Challenges and opportunities in Drug Research�.Dr. A.R.Shabaraya Principal and Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, IPA, D.K. District Local Branch in his presidential remarks called upon the young researchers to develop three Cs like competency, commitment and communication to face the challenges in research. Guest of honour, Prof. Shashidhar Kotian M, Research Director, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing, Srinivas University, Mukka, Mangalore gave a talk on �Sampling Techniques and Selection of Statistical Methods�.Dr. Sathish S, Professor, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �Research Protocols�.14.10.2022: Mrs. Shilpakala, Associate Professor, Srinivas Institute of technology, Mangalore gave a talk on �Application of Biostatistics in Research�. Dr. Karunakar Hegde, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Pharmacology, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �Role of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) and CPSEA guidelines� & Dr. Kumara Prasad S A, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Pharm. Analysis, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �Analytical Instruments in Drug Research�.Dr. Krishnananda Kamath K, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Industrial Pharmacy, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �How to write Dissertations� and Dr. Monika Sadananda, Professor, Department of Biosciences, Mangalore University, Mangalore gave a talk on �Research Grants and Publications�.Dr. E.V.S Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Vice President, IPA, D.K. District Local Branch, welcomed and introduced the guests.Ms. Rash Haleema & Ms. Rashmitha anchored the programme. Dr. Krishnananda Kamath K, Associate Professor proposed vote of thanks.
