District Local Branch in his presidential remarks called upon the young researchers to develop three Cs like competency, commitment and communication to face the challenges in research. Dr. Karunakar Hegde, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Pharmacology, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �Role of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) and CPSEA guidelines� & Dr. Kumara Prasad S A, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Pharm. Analysis, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �Analytical Instruments in Drug Research�.Dr. Krishnananda Kamath K, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Industrial Pharmacy, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore gave a talk on �How to write Dissertations� and Dr. Monika Sadananda, Professor, Department of Biosciences, Mangalore University, Mangalore gave a talk on �Research Grants and Publications�.Dr. E.V.S Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Vice President, IPA, D.K.
