Report International Women’s Day
Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D.K District, Local Branch, Mangalore in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy has organised “International Women’s Day” on 8th March 2019.
The programee was inaugurated by Smt. Vani Ummakka, Life Line Volunteer, Suicide Lifeline (A Unit of Susheg Charitable Trust (Regd.) Kankanady, Mangalore she called upon the young women to get inspired by women’s contribution to the society and their strength, utilizing all opportunities. She also gave a talk on suicide awareness, prevention and intervention.
Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Mangalore, wished the gathering and advised to adopt good human values in their lives. He has further stressed the importance of preventive measures while encountering such unfortunate circumstances.
Smt. Mitra S Rao, Secretary, A.Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore in her presidential remarks underscored the importance of woman hood, and advised the gathering to lead happy lives.
Dr. EVS Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Vice president, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Mangalore Ms. Anita Vijayan, & Ms. Manisha Suvarna, Professional Counsellors for Suicide Life Line, Mangalore were present during the porgramme.
Dr. Padmavathi P Prabhu, Professor & Dr. Paramita Das, Asst. Professor coordinated the programme. Ms. Architha Aithal, welcomed and introduced the gathering. Ms. Agnes anchored the programme and Ms. Jewel Janice proposed vote of thanks.
