Srinivas Institute of Technology Student Project Exhibition 2016
Srinivas Institute of Technology organized two days student project exhibition on 3 rd and 4 th May 2016. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Vijay Kumara N, Senior Manager-HRM, SLK Software Services Pvt. Ltd. Sri CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University and President of A Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function. Shri M. Narendra, Ex Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Overseas Bank was the guest of honor on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vijay Kumara congratulated the students for exhibiting their talents in the form of project exhibition. Shri M. Narendra said that service sector is the major contributor for the Indian economy, where as the contribution of manufacturing sector is high in Chinese economy, hence India also has high potential for the growth of service sector. Sri CA. A. Raghavendra Rao in his presidential remarks motivated the students and congratulated the students and staff for the project exhibition. Principal of the college, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Project Coordinator, Dr. Ramakrishna N. Hegde were present on the occasion.
otal of 349 Projects was exhibited, out of these 134 projects by final year students which includes 12 projects sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST), One project is selected for VGST funding and One Project titled“High Altitude Wind Technology Using Kite-A revolution in renewable energy generation” won the“Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award” from Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi. Out of these, 27 projects are from department of Computer Science & Engineering, 29 projects from department of Electronic & Communication, 07 projects from Information Science Engineering, 43 projects from department of Mechanical Engineering, 08 projects from Dept. Of Aeronautical Engineering, 08 projects from Dept. Of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, 03 projects from Dept. of Automobile Engineering, 04 projects from Dept. of Marine Engineering, 05 projects from Dept. of MBA and 215 mini projects was exhibited by 3 rd year engineering students. Cash prizes were awarded for winners.
