MOU BETWEEN SSE MUKKA AND UAHS, SHIVAMOGGA.

Srinivas School of Engineering (SSE), Mukka and University of Agriculture and Horticulture Sciences (UAHS), Shivamogga have signed a MOUrecently for the close cooperation and collaboration in the fields of Research and UG/PG studies with the objective of Multi disciplinary approach to tackle the emerging issues of agriculture covering the disciplines of Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics and Software engineering. Dr. Shreeprakash B, Principal, Srinivas School of Engineering and Dr. C Vasudevappa, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture and Horticulture Sciences, Shivamogga have signed the MOU.

Dr. H Hanumanthappa-Associate Director of Research, Dr. M Shankar-Assistant Professor, Dr. Vinod-Assistant Professor from Zonal Agricultural and Horticultural Research Station (ZAHRS) Brahmavara, Udupi (Unit of UAHS), Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde-Vice Principal, Dr. Suma Bhat-Head of Mechanical Engg Dept, Heads of other departments and faculty members of Srinivas School of Engineering were present on the occasion.

The main objectives of MOU are to extend the facilities and services of scientists/ teachers to offer agriculture and horticulture related projects to students on mutual basis, to serve as Chairman/ Members of the Advisory Committees for the PG students and to extend help in carrying out student research work in the institute premises/ laboratories to students of M.Sc./Ph.D and BE/M.Tech in areas of mutual benefits, to facilitate use of library, ARIS Computer center, internet facilities, accommodation and other needful facilities those are helpful to students on mutual basis, to take up joint sponsored consultancy and research projects with both long term and short term goals, keeping in view the interests and philosophies of the respective institutions, to impart training to staff and students within the areas of co-operation and to conduct, whenever feasible, joint workshops, conferences, training courses within the areas of co-operation, to share their respective important R&D facilities in order to promote academic and research interactions in the areas of co-operation to intensify the high priority area programmes of Sciences and Technology, to conduct farm trials and multi location trials mutually in order to promote the technologies.

Three B.E. projects of final year Mechanical Engg of batch 2015-16 of Srinivas School of Engineering are sponsored and funded by UAHS, Shivamoga.
