FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: TEACHING PROBLEMS & PROSPECTS

Department of MBA of Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru had organised Faculty Development Program “Teaching Problems & Prospects” on 29th March 2016. It was inaugurated by Prof. Surfraz Hasim J Director, P.A College of Engineering, Mangaluru. Speaking on the occasion he emphasized the need of such training to the teachers and suggested several ways to tackle the teaching problems and find the suitable measures and Dr.Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the college and president of the function, appreciated the department for conducting such motivational programs which mainly aimed at developing teacher’s competence in handling students and also suggested to conduct the same in future also.

Prof.Surfraj Hasim J, Director, P.A College of Engineering, Mangaluru, Dr. N.K.Vijayan Karippal, Pricipal, Expert P U Residential College Valachil Mangaluru and Prof.Pushpharaj Badiadka, Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vidhyanagar, Kasargod were the resource persons for the program. Program included motivational talk to the teachers and different learning style and how to handle students in class room. Prof.Surfraj Hasim mainly spoke about self hypnotism and its importance to the faculties by conducting various activities. Around 50 faculties from different colleges were attended the program.

Prof.K.Radhakrishan, Staff coordinator welcomed the gathering, Prof.Haripraksh U P Head of the department introduced the Chief Guest, Prof.Pramod Nayak Staff coordinator presented the vote of thanks in inaugural function. The valedictory ceremony was conducted at the end of the day and Prof.Pushpharaj Badiadka was the chief guest and Dr.Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the college was the president of the function. Certificates were distributed to all the participants by chief guest and president of the function. Prof.Hariprakash U P. HOD, Prof.K.Radhakrishnan & Prof.Pramod Nayak staff coordinators were also present on the occasion. Prof.Steevan Robert Tellis was the master of ceremony of the program.
