SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, DEPT OF ARCHITECTURE SIGNS MOA WITH KATHMANDU UNIVERSITY

School of Architecture, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering, School of Engineering Kathmandu University on 30 March, 2016 at Kathmandu University, Kathmandu Nepal.

Dr.Shaila Bantanur, Professor in School of Architecture, SIT, Mangalore and Dr. Prachand Pradhan, Assistant Professor (acting HOD) in Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering, School of Engineering Kathmandu University signed the MoA. They will be working on research project titled “Comparative Analysis of Sustainability practices and awareness in rural areas in the vicinity of Kathmandu and Mangalore”. The project will focus on rural settlements around Mangalore and Kathmandu City with respect to three parameters of environmental sustainability namely; Energy, Water and Waste. The study would lead to detailed Documentation of traditional and contemporary sustainability practices and will include an assessment and analysis of innovative measures adopted by individuals.
