Seminar on Ragging Awareness and Prevention 2024: Listen, Ragging is a crime

The anti-ragging committee of Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, Mangalore conducted a seminar on Ragging Awareness and Prevention titled Listen, Ragging is a crime on the 19th of November 2024. Dr.Shiva Sharan Shetty, Member,Dental Council of India (DCI) ,Mr Mahesh Prasad , Police Inspector,Surathkal Police Station and Dr.Adv .Pavithra Kumari, Dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University were the resource persons for the event. The program commenced with a prayer song and lighting of the auspicious lamp by the dignitaries. The Dean and HOD of department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry Prof.(Dr.)K. Reshma Pai, welcomed the gathering. Prof(Dr.) Praveen Shetty, nodal officer, Anti-ragging committee shed light on the anti-ragging policy of the college and introduced the resource persons for the day.The resource persons for the program Dr.Shiva Sharan Shetty , Mr Mahesh Prasad , Dr.Adv .Pavithra Kumari addressed the menace of ragging and highlighted the measures to be taken for prevention of the same. Prof(Dr.)Rajeeth Shetty, Incharge ,Department of oral and maxillofacial surgery proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Sushmita and Dr. Renilda were the masters of ceremony for the program.
