CONS AND ENDO WEEK- 5TH MARCH 2024

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, organized “ConsQuest 2025” from 3rd to 5th March 2025 as a part of “Cons & Endo Day” celebrated on the 5th of March every year. The event highlights were a series of competitions designed to challenge the creativity, knowledge, and talents of the students and Faculty members. These competitions included:1. “Colour Cask” with the theme, “A bottle of hope for a greener planet” wherein the B.D.S students portrayed their artistic skills in the form of glass bottle painting.2. “The Knowledge Knockout” was an all-department quiz competition for Faculty members and post-graduates that included multiple rounds, namely Basic Sciences, Dental Specialities, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Dental Pictionary, Bollywood Pictionary, and Rapid-Fire.3. “Petals and Patterns” was an open category floral rangoli/ Pookalam making competition with the theme “Saving Smiles, Preserving Teeth,” wherein students provided a glimpse of their wonderful ideas and creativity as floral patterns.All the events were coordinated and organized by the Department faculties and Postgraduate students and judged by various faculty members of other departments.On 5th March 2025, “Endo-Carnival” was organized in collaboration with the Interns batch, which was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) K. Reshma Pai, Dean, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, various heads of departments, faculty members, and students.Prof. (Dr.) Kishan K.V, H.O.D Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) K. Reshma Pai, ma’am, appreciated the event and gave her best wishes. This was followed by a cake-cutting and a prize-giving ceremony for the competition winners. The balloon dedication stall “King and Queen of Hearts” was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Chandni Sreekumar, H.O.D Department of Periodontics, and Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Raghava, Professor, Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. The music and games stall were inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Nitesh Shetty, H.O.D Department of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge and Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Shetty, H.O.D Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, respectively. Dr. Varsha Prabhu, Senior Lecturer, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Deepika H.S. was the vibrant compere for the event.
