Children’s day celebration titled Pedo-Shore was conducted at the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore on 16/11/22. The function was Presided by DR. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Honourable Chancellor, Srinivas University and President, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru. The guests of honour DR. A. Srinivas Rao, Honourable Pro-Chancellor, Srinivas University and Vice president, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru , Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R.Rao, Trustee Member, Board of governors, ,A. Shama Rao Foundation and Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Prof.Er.Smt. A. Mitra S.Rao, Trustee-Member, Board of governors, Srinivas University and secretary, A.Shama Rao Foundation. Chief guest for the day was Mrs.Chandrika S.Bhandary, Principal of Vyasamharshi Vidyapeeta English medium school Mulki. Dean Prof. Dr. K. Reshma Pai, Prof & HOD Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr. David Rosario, Medical superintendent of Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center were the other dignitaries present on the day. Students of Vyasamharshi Vidyapeeeta English medium school, Mulki were the special guests for the programme and also the faculty, interns, and post graduates of our college were present.To honour and appreciate support rendered, the principal of Vyasamharshi Vidyapeeeta English medium school, Mrs.Chandrika S.Bhandary was felicitated. The undergraduate toppers of the year 2020-2021 Dr. U.S Pooja and 2021-2022 Dr. Pallavi were also felicitated by dignitaries for securing highest marks in the subject of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry.Various competitions as part of the celebration were conducted for the children such as dancing, singing, speech, colouring competition, memory game competition and also an awareness video projection We're organised for the school children. Prize distribution for the winners was done by the dignitaries.
