National Periodontist Day

Celebrated on the 4th of March was a magnum opus event for the Dept Of Periodontology, Srinivas Institute Of Dental Sciences, Mukka. There were events organised including the students, interns, PGs and staff of other departments. The program was inaugurated and presided over by the Dean, Dr. Reshma Pai and led by the HOD, Dept of periodontics, Dr. Chandni. S, Dr. Deepa, Dr. Sheehan, Dr. Shivaprasad and Dr. Centy. Dr. Shivaprasad welcomed the gathering following which Dr. Chandni spoke of the significance of the day and the need to work together holistic health. The Dean, applauded the department for their efforts and initiative and encouraged more such events. The vote of thanks was rendered by Dr. Centy. The day also included the following 1. In an attempt to reach out and spread the message through games and activities competitions like - For Staff Debridement a) Of Pathogens, b) Hypersensitivity King and queen For the Students c) Painting on oral awareness with various mechanical plaque control aids ( Brush towards beauty) d) Educational treasure hunt- A trail to oral health. 2. Display of the various educative working and non working models and projects 3. Recognising the rank holders and students who have gone out of the way to make a difference in the Periodontal fraternity.
