Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences organized a Continuing Dental Education Program and Hands on Workshop titled “PEDONOVA 24” on 19/04/2024 Topic: Inhalation Sedation in Pediatric Dentistry by Resource person Prof (Dr)Rohan Bhatt, Director and Dean of PG Studies at Karnavati School of Dentistry, Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and also is a pioneer in opening the first ever Pediatric Dental Hospital named Vasupujya in Gujarat.The workshop was attended by postgraduate students, Dean, Heads of the department and faculty from various esteemed institutions.The CDE program was presided over by Prof (Dr)K. Reshma Pai, Dean Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. Dr Evette Natasha Dsouza, Reader, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry welcomed the gathering followed by Dr Lakshmi Pallavi K, Reader Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry introduced our guest speaker of the day. Prof (Dr)K. Reshma Pai Dean Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences addressed the gathering. Heads of other department, staffs of Srinivas Institute of Dental Science also graced the occasion.Dr Harikrishnan S Sr Lecturer, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry delivered the vote of thanks, Dr Soumya Pai Sr Lecturer Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and Dr Nashitha postgraduate student compered the inaugural program and it was concluded with the National Anthem.The program was coordinated by Dr Anantkrishna, Sr lecturer, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, the PG students and interns of our college.Following which two sessions were conducted by Prof (Dr.) Rohan Bhatt including lectures which gave an insight on Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation which concluded with hands on workshop in afternoon.The workshop received appreciation from all the participants for its informative sessions and engaging discussions.
