International Radiology Day

In celebration of International Radiology Day, observed annually on November 8, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, along with its interns, organized a series of impactful events aimed at raising awareness and educating the community. The theme for this year, Radiographers - Seeing the Unseen, emphasized the crucial role radiographers play in healthcare by helping medical professionals see beyond the naked eye. 1. Screening and Treatment Camp A Screening and Treatment Camp was held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Military Training Area, Surathkal, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Dentistry. This initiative aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local community. Over 50 patients were screened, and more than 40 patients received treatments, which included scaling and restorative dental procedures. 2. Pictionary Event On November 11, 2024, a Pictionary Event was organized in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology. The event aimed to engage students and staff in a fun and educational activity, promoting a deeper understanding of radiology concepts through drawing and guessing various radiographic terms and images.These events not only celebrated the importance of radiology but also highlighted how radiographers and dental professionals play an integral role in enhancing healthcare outcomes.
