Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics - hands-on workshop on Rotary Endodontics on 02/08/2024 and 03/08/2024

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in association with Orikam organised a two day hands-on workshop on Rotary Endodontics on 02/08/2024 and 03/08/2024.The workshop was aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills on Rotary Endodontics among the participants. A total of 25 participants registered for the workshop. On day 1, the workshop involved an introductory lecture on Rotary Endodontics by Prof.Dr.Kishan.K.V. followed by a lecture on Access preparation and Endometrics by Dr. Souparna Madhavan . In the second session Prof.Dr.Kishan.K.V continued the lecture on different Rotary systems and obturation techniques. On day two as the programme unfolded the participants showed great interest and an impact got created among them . The participants were grouped under one mentor each ( Prof.Dr. Kishan. K.V, Dr.Souparna Madhavan, Prof.Dr. Pavithra Sampath, Dr. Bettina Ashwini Vegis, Dr. Varsha Prabhu, Dr.Prathiksha Shetty) . Live demonstrations were given on Rotary Endodontics, loupes and use of an Apex locator. The demonstration on ultrasonic activation of irrigation and downpacking method of obturation was given by Prof. Dr. Kishan. K.V. All the students utilised the Hands-on workshop to their fullest potential. The programme ended with a valedictory function . The Dean Prof.Dr. K.Reshma Pai addressed the gathering and encouraged all the students to learn more advanced skills .
