National Oral Pathologists Day

National Oral Pathologist Day was celebrated by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology at Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka Mangalore on 2nd March 2023.This day was instituted by Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist on the occasion of the birth anniversary of legendary Oral Pathologist Dr. H. M. Dholakia sir, who is the first and foremost Oral Pathologist in India.The Department Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, SIDS celebrated this day by conducting various competitions for the staffs and the students in the Department followed by Valedictory function. Prof. (Dr.) Hemanth M, H.O.D, Department of Oral Pathology welcomed the gathering.Followed by the lighting of the lamp.Chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Shetty, HOD Department of Orthodontics praised the efforts put forward by the students in various competitions and spoke about the importance of the Oral Pathologist Day.Dr Ravichandra Udupa and Dr Pooja Naik, senior Lecturers, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology conducted the competitions for both students and staffs.Prizes were distributed to all the winners of the competitions.Dr.Shreekanth NG, Reader, Department of Oral Pathology rendered the vote of thanks.Dr Sthuti, Intern was the MC for the event.
