National Oral Pathologist Day

National Oral Pathologist Day’ was celebrated by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology at Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka Mangalore on 25th February 2022.This day was instituted by Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist on the occasion of birth anniversary of legendary Oral Pathologist Dr. H. M. Dholakia sir, who is the first and foremost Oral Pathologist in India. He is also called as ‘Bhismapitamah’ of Oral pathology. The Department Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, SIDS celebrated this day by conducting various competitions for the students in the Department followed by Valedictory function. Prof.Dr.Shailesh Kudva H.O.D, Department of Oral Pathology welcomed the gathering and explained about the importance of the day. Prof.Dr.K.Reshma Pai Dean , Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Felicitated the students who secured University(RGUHS) rank in the subjects of Oral Pathology and Dental Anatomy & Dental Histology.The students who secured university ranks are Dr.U S Pooja , 6th Rank in Oral Pathology, Dr.Sheeba Y , 8th Rank in Oral Pathology, Dr.Vaibhavi Shetty ,10th Rank In DADH. Dr.Hemanth M , Professor Department of Oral Pathology rendered the vote of thanks.
