Dental check-up and treatment camp on 29th January 2025

A dental check-up and treatment camp was successfully conducted at Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, on 29th January 2025 as part of the Pharmacy Week celebrations. The event commenced at 10:30 AM with a formal inaugural function, marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp.The event was graced by Dr. A. R. Shabaraya, Principal and Director of Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil. Dr. Sandeep J. Senior Lecturer from Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, delivered speech highlighting the importance of oral health awareness. Dr. Sandhya Lakshmi from Srinivas Dental College was the Guest of Honor for the program.As part of the awareness initiative, interns from the dental college delivered a health talk on the importance of oral hygiene and provided an introduction to various dental specialties. Following the inaugural session, dental check-ups and treatments were carried out by the team of dental professionals.A total of 104 individuals were screened during the camp, out of which 84 patients received treatments such as scaling and restorations. Patients requiring further dental care were referred to Srinivas Dental College for advanced treatment. The camp was open to both students and the general public, ensuring wider community participation.The event concluded successfully at 3:00 PM, making a significant impact in promoting oral health awareness and providing essential dental care to the attendees. The initiative was well-received and contributed towards enhancing the dental health consciousness among students and the local community.
