CONS AND ENDO WEEK- 5TH MARCH 2024

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru organized “Cons & Endo Week” from 28th February to 5th March 2024 as a part of “Cons & Endo Day” which is celebrated on 5th of March every year. The highlight of the event was a series of competitions designed to challenge the creativity, knowledge, oration skills, and talents of the students as well as Faculty members. These competitions included:1. “Endo-Mandala” wherein the 1ST B.D.S students portrayed their artistic skills in the form of mandala art.2. “Rang- de” was a face painting competition for 2ND B.D.S students with the theme “Life of a tooth”.3. “Trash-to-treasure” was a competition for 3RD B.D.S students wherein they used non-contaminated dental materials to create beautiful pieces of art.4. “Debate- Dentale” was a debate competition organized for 3rd and 4TH B.D.S students as well as Interns wherein topics in and around day-to-day life were debated and student perspectives were thoroughly brainstormed.5. “Endo-Khazaana” was a cooking without-fire competition that was open for everyone to participate wherein the participants got an opportunity to unleash their Master-chef within.6. “Quiz-A-Thon” was an all-department quiz competition for Faculty members that included multiple rounds namely General Knowledge, General Dentistry, Audio-Visual, Pictionary, and Rapid-Fire.7. “The Vogue” was an electrifying fashion show event that was organized in collaboration with Team Omnia for everyone with the theme “Elements” wherein students and Faculty members strutted down the runway in various stylish attires. The fashion show celebrated various elements of nature namely Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Space, and provided a glimpse of the creativity and style quotient of all the participants.All the events were coordinated and organized by the Department faculties and Postgraduate students and judged by various faculty members of other departmentsOn 5th March 2024, “Endo-Mela” was organized in collaboration with the Interns batch which was presided over by Dr. C.A A. Raghavendra Rao, Honorable Chancellor of Srinivas University and President, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, Prof. (Dr.) K. Reshma Pai, Dean, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, various heads of departments, faculty members, and students.Prof. (Dr.) Kishan K.V, H.O.D Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest, Dr. C.A A. Raghavendra Rao sir, and Prof. (Dr.) K. Reshma Pai ma’am appreciated the event and gave their best wishes. This was followed by a cake-cutting and a prize distribution ceremony for the competition winners. The games and music stall were inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Nitesh Shetty, H.O.D Department of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge and Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Shetty H.O.D Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics respectively. Dr. Varsha Prabhu, Senior Lecturer, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Deepika H.S. was the vivacious compere for the event.The event concluded with Faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff enjoying various food stalls offering a delectable array of culinary delights, game stalls, bookmark, and accessory stalls, and a music stall namely “Musical Oasis” wherein they could dedicate a song of their choice to their dear ones.
