Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences celebrated AUTISM AWARENESS DAY at AIKYAM: CENTER FOR SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT, SPECIAL EDUCATION, THERAPIES AND COUNSELLING by spreading awareness and prioritizing oral hygiene for all. On Occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, Postgraduates of Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry visited AIKYAM, Mangalore to foster understanding and support for special children by promoting oral health awareness among them. Postgraduates engaged with the enthusiastic children, sharing insights on preventing cavities, proper brushing techniques, importance of flossing, and the benefits of using mouthwash.It was a fun filled interactive session with the special children and their parents. A comprehensive talk was delivered to parents, caregivers and occupational therapists which provided insights into various treatment procedures and utilization of technologies to enhance patient care and management. PG students and children cut the cake and had pleasure of spending quality time, spreading smiles and joy. The event concluded by distributing gifts among children. Furthermore, team AIKYAM expressed their gratitude by presenting a memento, symbolizing commitment and care.
