INTRODUCTION
Children are nature’s most beautiful creation. The child cannot be considered as just a miniature of adult but a dynamic organism undergoing constant mental, physical and emotional changes.
Pedodontics is a branch of dentistry that includes training of child to accept dentistry, restoring and maintaining primary, mixed, permanent dentition providing both primary and comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry is well equipped with 20 dental chair units, special care room for treatment of children requiring special care needs, a complete laboratory set up, X-ray unit with RVG, and recreational area for children.
