Ph.D. Awardees

  •  Dr. Padmavathi P Prabhu, Asst Professor, dept of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was awarded (Ph.D) by JNT UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD for her thesis entitled “Synthesis and biological activity studies of some new benzothiazole derivatives”.
  • Mr. Krishnananda Kamath K, Asso. Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics of Srinivas College of Pharmacy was awarded with Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bangalore on 20th November 2017 for his thesis entitled “Formulation and evaluation of semisolid dosage forms containing extracts of Tectona grandis, Mangifera indica and Anacardium occidentale for their antibacterial activity”. He worked under the guidance of Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal & Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangalore.
  • Mr. Kumara Prasad S A, Asso. Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was awarded with degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) by Andhra University, Vishakapatnam on 16th November 2017 for his thesis entitled “Design, synthesis, Evaluation and QSAR studies of some novel indole derivatives for possible antioxidant and anticancer activities”. He worked under the guidance of under the guidance of Prof. Y. Rajendra Prasad.
  • Mr. Ramesh N, Research Scholar, Dept. of Pharmaceutics, was awarded with degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bangalore on December 2017 for his thesis entitled “Development and validation of invitro invivo correlation for the developed modified release tablet formulation consisting of biopharmaceutical classification system of class II & class III drug candidates” He worked under the guidance of Dr. A.R.Shabaraya, Principal & Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangalore.

SEMINAR GRANT

  • Dr. A.R. Shabaraya, has received a seminar grant from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, to organize National conference onHerbal drug research opportunities and challenges” on 8th & 9th March 2016.
  • Dr. A.R. Shabaraya & Dr. Krishnananda Kamath has received a seminar grant from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, to organize National Seminar on Recent trends in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs” on 11th November 2017.

RESEARCH GRANTS

  • Mr. Ashoka Shenoy, M & Mrs. Padmavathi P Prabhu received research grant from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the year 2014-15.
  • Dr. A. R. Shabaraya, Dr. E.V.S Subrahmanyam, Dr. U Srinivasa & Dr. Karunakar Hegde have received Research Grants for from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the year 2015-16”.
  • Mr. Viresh K Chandur & Dr. Amulyaratna Behera have received Research Grants Rs. 5.1 Lakhs from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the year 2016-17.
  • Dr. Kumara Prasad S A, Asso. Professor Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry received Research grant from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the year 2017-18.

  • A. R. Shabaraya, Principal & Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy continues to be the member, BOS in Pharm D, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore & president, IPA, Local branch, Mangalore. He is also the member, Board of Examining Authority, D.Pharm examination, Bangalore.
  • E.V.S. Subrahmanyam, Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy continues to be vice president, IPA, Local branch, Mangalore.
  • Dr. A.R. Shabaraya, Principal & Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada District Local Branch, Mangalore was selected for the “PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR 2016” award by Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (Karnataka Unit, KAPTICON). He was felicitated at the Annual APTI convention APTICON held in Manipal on 14th & 16th October 2016.
  • Dr. U Srinivasa, Professor & HOD, nominated as Executive Member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Karnataka State Branch for a period of three years from 2016-2019.
  • Dr. U Srinivasa, Professor & HOD has done extensive research work on information related to crude drugs adulteration aspects, their purification, scope of Pharmacognosy, study of Ayurveda unani system of medicine. He has hoisted all this precious information in internet for the benefit of interested research scholars and related healthcare professionals. This was viewed and appreciated by 43,922 people all over the world with 2741 slide share actions from 03.02.2016 to 02.02.2017.
  • 2016: Rohinatha secured 4th Rank & Ms. Bhavya Kumari secured 5th Rank in II D.Pharm Examination conducted by Board of Examining Authority, Karnataka Bangalore.
  • 2016: Shilpa Shetty, 5th Rank in IV B.Pharm Analysis in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Examinations.
  • 2016: Three students of final year B.Pharm Anie Laju, Ms. Daksha & Ms. Lolita Prima have qualified in GPAT Examination.
  • Deeksha R Pai has secured 2nd Rank in (Quality Assurance), Ms. Menon Nimisha has secured 3rd Rank in (Quality Assurance), Ms. Emani Aparna has secured  6th Rank in (Pharmacology) , Ms. Anupama Mathewhas secured  8th  Rank in Pharmacology in II M.Pharm in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Examinations.
  • Architha Aithal, II Pharm D student secured 1st place in Kumite, 2nd place in Kata, 2nd place in individual Kumite & individual Kata at the National level Karate Tournament in 2016.
  • Shreyas K.N, Mr. Karthik Shetty were selected for National team in R.G.U.H.S sponsored Intercollegiate single zone cross country 2016-17 held at SDMCDS, Dharwad.
  • Shreyas K.N, I M.Pharm, Mr. Govinda Nayak, IV B.Pharm, Mr. Ganesh Prakash, IV B.Pharm, Mr. Adarsh Bhat, II B.Pharm & Mr. Arjun M, I B.Pharm were secured 4th Place in R.G.U.H.S Mysore Zonal Intercollegiate Chess Tournament 2016-17 held at Fr. Muller Medical College Mangalore.
  • Abdul Hafil was also selected to represent R.G.U.H.S in South Zone Inter University Kabaddi tournament 2016-17.
  • Hussain Zinerah of I B.Pharm Secured first prize in pencil sketching during the annual intercollegiate cultural and sports Fest, Adrenaline 2017 held in Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru from 22nd to 25th February 2017.
